I’m not sure I’m really answering your question but maybe it’ll help. I did all this a couple months ago and it seems to have worked. The Adobe link assumes that you want to ultimately get CC back on your computer, so read the first link first which IMHO gives a better overview of what needs to be done to really get rid of it. I used a combination of methods in the following links to finally get rid of it. I tried dragging it to the trash and that didn’t help there were still a multitude of Adobe folders and files scattered all over the place. I was finally able to trace it to Creative Cloud trying to update.

I could ‘cancel’ but around the first of every month the computer would turn into an unusable piece of junk, requiring multiple reboots some of which took 20 minutes to get it back on track. It seemed innocuous enough at first but then it started showing popup windows requesting updates. That’s when Creative Cloud showed up in the upper right near the wifi, time and date, etc. But what I do know is that the main user installed either Photoshop Elements or Photoshop either as a trial or for purchase. I just maintain it with security, browser, and other software updates. I don’t usually use the iMAC I referred to.
